"Jesus answered: I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in Me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. quinta-feira, 22 de julho de 2010
"Matthew 17:20"
"Jesus answered: I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in Me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. “Inception” (What moves us?)

"A mind that opens itself to a new idea never returns to its original size." Albert Einstein
“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10, 11
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.” Romans 12:1-3

“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.” I John 2:15-17
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33 (Philippians 4:19 and Ephesians 3:16-21)

The world "without" Jesus is a very confusing place. If you ask an "atheist", for example, if he believes in God, he will probably answer “no, I don’t!”. On the other hand, he certainly believes that he is capable to love, even though he can’t see love… Nor touch it… But he believes he is able to feel it!
I know a man that says he’s an "atheist"… He says he only believes in science … But he also believes that “the dead” can communicate to us frequently… He goes to “reunions” to talk to dead people and everything… Ok, I respect that!
However, this very guy says that the Bible in Jesus is pure madness… He says that believing in Jesus and what He said is craziness… But his faith in the “friendly living dead” is just fine!! And I know a lot of people around here who think exactly the same way.
An “atheist” can be also a person of a lot of faith, but most of the time, he/she is pretty confused about it. (Hebrews 11:1)
Some people try to deny God to call His attention, like: "God, if you're really here, show me an evidence of your existence!"
But most of the time, the "evidence" they ask for is according to their will and not according to how God wants to be noticed! (Romans 1:20)
The fact is that people learn to think "against God" based on movies, Tv shows, books, reunions, emotional issues and things like that!
“I don't want a nation of thinkers, I want a nation of workers.” John D. Rockefeller - This quote is a very good example of how "preprogrammed against God" a lot of people are!
Everyone has got a “Coach” or means of communication that tell them what to believe in!
Who is your Coach?! What is he/she/it telling you?
“But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.” Matthew 23:8
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.” Proverbs 3:5-8
“I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.” John 10:16
“The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” Psalm 23
“But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:26, 27
“As the Scripture says, ‘Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.’” Romans 10:11

And now, back to the movie… If someone like Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, Cobb, invaded our minds, hipotetically, what would he find? What has been feeding our thoughts, our attitudes, our lives lately?
“But let a man examine himself.” I Corinthians 11:28 (I John 1)

“However, as it is written: ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him’—but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment: ‘For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.” I Corinthians 2:9-16 (Ephesians 6, II Corinthians 10, I Corinthians 6:2, 3, I John 4 and 5, John 14 and 15 and Luke 10:19-22)

“If you hold to My teaching, you are really My disciples. Then you will know The Truth, and The Truth will set you free. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:31, 32, 36
“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at His doctrine: For He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.” Matthew 7:24-29
"God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good? Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and He hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it." Numbers 23:19, 20"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you,' declares the LORD, 'and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,' declares the LORD, 'and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.'" "I Timothy 2:1-4"!
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." I Timothy 2:1-4 (I Peter 5:6-11, I Corinthians 2:9-16, I Corinthians 3, Acts 17:28, John 1, John 3, John 10, John 14, John 15, I John 2, I John 4, I John 5, Romans 8, Romans 10, Zechariah 4:6, Philippians 2:13, Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 12, Revelation 21:5, 6, Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:20 and Philippians 1:6)By The Tree - World On Fire (Matthew 3:11 and John 10:16)
“Test everything. Hold on to the good.” I Thessalonians 5:21

A couple of months ago, my wife and my kid watched “Shrek Forever After” (DreamWorks) and “The Princess and the Frog” (Disney). These animations have plenty of elements from witchcraft. My kid and my wife had “bad dreams” after watching these films!
But “The Sorcerer's Apprentice” is a little bit different from all these cartoons I just mentioned, cause this movie, with all its details and symbolism, has an enormous potential to attract kids and teenagers to the path of the devil.
This film shows witchcraft as a good gift able to protect mankind from the attacks of evil, but it’s a trick… The only Good font of Power and Protection is Jesus… And everything “besides Him” is satanic. (John1:1-3, Jeremiah 17:5-10, Proverbs 3:5-8, John 14:6 and John 8:32, 36)
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10
“But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness.” II Corinthians 11:3, 14, 15 ( II Timothy 4:3, 4, I Peter 5:6-11, Matthew 24:11, Acts 8:9-25 and Atcs 16:16-18)
In “The Sorcerer's Apprentice”, witches and wizards imitate God’s Power (Exodus 7 and 8) trying to resurrect the dead and build an army, for example (Ezekiel 37:1-14 and John 11).
And the main character, Balthazar (Nicolas Cage), is a sorcerer responsible for finding a child who was going to “save the world from pain” or something like this…
... This child had almost the same profile as the antichrist described in the Bible.
(* It also reminded me of “The Last Airbender” - http://www.thelastairbendermovie.com/
and this music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-iepu3EtyE ... System Of A Down - Aerials)
The antichrist will be some kind of “saviour” that will ‘help’ the World with its needs without Jesus… He will try to prove that people don’t need the Biblical Jesus (The Real Jesus) and His principles to have a decent life… He will try to make people find strength in themselves, by themselves… He will deliberately deny Christ in every possible way. (Zechariah 11:15-17, Revelation 13:4-15, I Corinthians 10:14, 15, I Corinthians 6:2, 3, I John 2:18-29, I John 4, 5, II John 1:7 and Proverbs 16:4)
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” John 14:6 (I Timothy 2:1-6)
